By Air
At the moment, there is only one international flight to Bandung, from Kuala Lumpur, which is operated by AirAsia Berhad and Malaysia Airlines.
However, there are many domestic flights from various Indonesian cities, including Balikpapan, Denpasar (Bali), Jakarta (Halim Perdanakusuma Airport), Medan,Palembang, Pekanbaru, Surabaya and Yogyakarta.
For those coming to Bandung from Jakarta:
A. By Travel Shuttle Services from Sukarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK)
Travel shuttles, also known as "travel" in Indonesian, can take you to specific drop-off points in Bandung, or sometimes even to your hotel. There are a few travel shuttle sales counters at the airport that can take you to Bandung. Travel time is around 3-4 hours.
B. High Speed Train from Whoosh Station, Halim
The Whoosh High-Speed Train connects Jakarta to Bandung in under an hour. Launched in September 2023, there are multiple daily departures, making travel flexible, while onboard dining ensures comfort. Eco-friendly and efficient, Whoosh reduces travel time significantly compared to traditional trains and road transport.
C. By Car
Driving from Jakarta to Bandung takes about 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions. The route involves taking the Cipularang Toll Road, which connects the two cities directly.
