We love our food, and have so many good places to recommend! Some of our favourite restaurants are located in traditional wooden Sundanese houses called “saung”, while others are built on mountain slopes, offering breath-taking views of the city below. Wherever the location and whatever the ambience, we’ll help you discover the best Sundanese cuisine. Craving for some good street food? We can take you to the best night food market in Bandung. There are lots of stalls, giving you a wide choice of Sundanese, Chinese and Western food.
“If shopping doesn’t make you happy, then you’re in the wrong shop!” Bandung offers a wide range of shopping experiences, from wholesale textiles to exquisitely handcrafted objets. If you’re in the mood for something upmarket, we know the places to go. Anne Avantie, a celebrated Indonesian designer, has a boutique in town offering exclusive batik pieces. And we strongly recommend our favourite home décor
store, where most of the items are made of wood. The store comes with a cute coffee shop which will provide the perfect end to an afternoon of bargain-hunting.
For awesome bargains, there’s Pasar Baru, the haunt of choice for uncles and aunties in search of textiles, clothes, curtains and carpets at rock-bottom prices. Bandung is also home to a large number of factory outlets, many of which offer "one-stop shopping" where you can shop, eat and chill at the same time.
